Course Structure

The degree programme (postgraduate MSc) in Basin and Petroleum System Dynamics is an 18-months part-time study programme (60 ECTS). Courses will include lectures as well as exercises: guided reading and group work will deepen the understanding of participants. The path towards practical application of newly acquired knowledge is prepared by a project assignment. A guided master thesis as well as afinal exam will complement the program.

Please download the Handbook for the degree program here. (Handbook is currently under revision – please contact the BPSD Administrator). You will find all relevant information on modules, workload, exam etc.

Ten on-site learning weeks
are bundled into blocks of two weeks each held at Jacobs University Bremen. The lecturing part is spread over the first 12 months. Project work and the master thesis dominate the later part of the programme.

Are you already holding a Master or PhD in Geosciences (or a related field) and interested in the on-site learning opportunities only? Please contact us or use the respective registration form to book courses individually.
